About the contest

With the continuing desire to encourage and stimulate the learning, use, and mastery of our rich Spanish language, Latin American Alliance organizes, in the month of March, its annual Spanish Literature Contest (poetry and short stories), having as its theme— The Family. The contest is geared toward Spanish-speaking and writing students, regardless of their nationality, in the Lancaster/Lebanon IU13 District. The future might include expanding the contest to include an adult division and a drama/play category.

The Spanish Literature Contest has two categories: Poetry and Short Story. This contest is open to all high school students (grades 7-12) and college students of Lancaster and Lebanon County, Pennsylvania who can write in Spanish.  Monetary prizes awarded.

RULES

Latin American Alliance of Lancaster County, PA, announces its annual Spanish Literature Contest/Concurso de Literatura en Español for 2024 with its theme “The Family”/“La Familia”.

Submissions

Spanish Levels I & II, III, and IV write poetry.

Level V and above write a short story.
