Hispanic Heritage Month may be over, but we are not done celebrating! If you have been keeping up with us on our social media pages, I am sure you have come across our recap videos. Each one showcases our events from this past month. During week one we enjoyed learning about delicious meals from Ecuador, Guatemala, and Colombia. Week two was all about our Spanish Literature Contest where some of the entry winners got to present their poems and writings live for us. Week three showcased various groups presenting different dance styles and, of course, we couldn’t help but join them! Stay tuned for our final recap of our first ever Live Streamed concert featuring various types of artists dancing and singing for us.
Do you remember how Ramiro Velasco graciously donated his beautiful artwork “El Condor Pasa” and it was put up for auction? Well, last Thursday evening we announced the winner of the Auction. The winner of this beautiful work of art is … Alice Paul Group with a bid of $500 dollars! We wanted to thank everyone who participated in our first ever Virtual Auction. All proceeds go towards our Youth Scholarships.
Once again, we here at Latin American Alliance want to thank you for your support during all of our Hispanic Heritage month events. None of these events could have been possible without you! I am looking forward to seeing you in person next year at our 2021 Festival.
